How to Donate to Rochester
Area Habitat for Humanity
 

Rochester Area Habitat for Humanity depends on the generosity of individuals, churches, corporations, and community organizations to provide the materials and funding needed to build homes for partner families. We need your support to make our vision of decent, affordable housing a reality.

        Your donation can buy: 

                 $  10 - a bucket of nails for a house 
                 $  80 - a low flow toilet
                 $ 120 - a kitchen sink
                 $ 200 - a front door
                 $ 500 - exterior siding
                 $1000 - sheetrock for one home

Cash gifts, including checks and money orders, are an easy and direct way to contribute to Rochester Area Habitat for Humanity.  Cash gifts work to benefit Rochester Area Habitat for Humanity immediately.  Mail your tax-deductible check or money order to:

Donations of new building materials, services, and office supplies are also gratefully accepted. All types of construction materials are welcome including lumber, plumbing, electrical, siding, and roofing.. If you or your company has materials, supplies, services or equipment to donate, please contact our office.

A Wish List of Donation Items Includes:
 
Tools;  new or used
  • ladders, especially 2-step and 5-6 step ladders
  • extension cords
  • flood lights, trouble lights
  • skill saws
  • reversible, variable speed drills
  • hammers
  • tool belts
  • tape measures
  • portable table saw
  • large tool chests
  • other assorted tools are welcome
Pledges for
  • lots for homes
  • sponsorship of a house to be the primary financial provider
  • contracted services to meet code, such as concrete, pluming, heating, electrical
  • donation of siding, windows, drywall, insulation, lumber
Volunteers to
  • be a site supervisor
  • help construct new homes or remodel homes
  • provide home repairs for needy residents
  • become a family partner, acting as a liaison between a homeowner and Habitat
  • assist with publicity and public relations
  • become a member of our Speakers Bureau
  • increase and maintain relationships with contractors
  • raise money
  • recruit and organize church and civic groups of volunteers
